Make a sheep to fall asleep

When the children grow up they start to fall asleep more and more hardly. Sometimes the going to bad becomes a long persuasion. When the child is enough big to know how to count sheep to asleep you can make one very simple paper sheep. The child could help you and it will be very proud of it.

What do you need:

  • One sheet of paper for the body. You can use white, brown or black paper all the same it will be a sheep and really will looks strange in green
  • One note cube sheet for the head. Find pink, violet or black but make sure that the colors will be suitable with the color of the body
  • Four matches for the legs
  • Scissors – keep an eye on it!
  • Clue – prefer a dry clue or a clue with sponge pad to avoid the mess
  • Felt-tip pen with appropriate color
Give the child the big sheet of paper and ask him to crush it like a football ball. Great you have the body!

Roll up the note cube peace of paper like it is shown on the picture. Make the one end a little bit wide than the other. That will become a head.

Stick the end.

You have to hold something like this one. Note that the left side is a little bit wide than the right one.

Now you have to cut about an inch from the middle of the tubule. You can round the narrow end

Draw an eyes and a nose with the felt-tip pen

Now stick a little peace of paper of the body on the head of the sheep

Stick the legs

We are almost done

Stick the head on its place. Congratulations your sheep is done.

Now you can put it near to the child bad and to start count sheep with him. Be careful who will fall asleep first!

The only problem is if your child loves the sheep so much and asks you everyday to make another sheep. In this case soon you will have a flock

DO NOT FORGET:

  • Even on three the child still loves to put some things in its mouth so keep the sheep enough high so the child could not be able to reach it
  • Never leave the child alone with the scissors or the clue
